Word and Spirit Book Group

Reading fiction has been shown to help deepen empathy. In one book, readers can gain new insights into the experiences of many others all at once. Fiction from the perspectives of others offers us the chance to understand how other people experience the sacred. From September through June our Book Group gathers monthly to discuss novels from different genres and authors. Recent titles include The Map of Salt and Stars, Go Tell it on the Mountain, The Book of Longings, The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store, Hijab Butch Blues, Perseopolis, and James. Be sure to watch our Home Page and sign up for our newsletter for the next book club date.
